What are feeds and why subscribe?

Want to be informed when a website or blog is updated? Instead of visiting all of your favourite sites to see if they have been updated since you last visited you can instead subscribe to a feed, and allow a feed reader to collect and deliver the latest news to you.

How do I use the LoudBlog feed?

You need a feed reader (otherwise known as a RSS reader or an 'aggregator'). Popular readers include:

• software for Windows such as: FeedDemon
• software for Mac users such as: Safari (part of the Mac OS) or Netnewswire
• an online service such as: bloglines or NewsGator
  

Click on one of the Atom or RSS icons in the right hand column of this site under the heading Keep Updated.
(If you do not have a feed reader then all you may see when you click on one of these links is a page of scrambled text.)

Cut and paste the URL into your Feed Reader where it asks you to paste it.

Atom or RSS?

Most Feed Readers can handle both RSS and Atom, they are just different formats of feeds.
