Cochlear Europe is the global leader in innovative and implantable hearing solutions  for adults and children with profound hearing loss.

The client need

Cochlear came to Loud for help in raising awareness of implantable hearing devices among a wide-ranging audience – from adults, teenagers, children and their families, to health professionals.

The Loud solution

Working closely with Cochlear, Loud devised a comprehensive programme of on and offline PR. In addition to traditional media and broadcast campaigns, we also developed highly effective ongoing activity, using social networking channels including the design, development and management of The DeafBlog.

The outcome

Our activity resulted in extensive print coverage, including front page national stories, as well as high-profile national and regional TV interviews, and coverage in consumer magazines. The DeafBlog provides the deaf community with a lively and practical online forum for exchanging news and sharing experiences among a growing worldwide readership.

1000heads

1000heads is the leading global specialist in word-of-mouth (WOM) marketing.

The client need

As a trailblazing agency – helping companies understand how they are viewed by listening to and analysing communication spontaneously generated on the Internet – 1000heads wanted Loud to position it as the market leader and authority in the new discipline of word-of-mouth marketing and measurement.

The Loud solution

Word of mouth and social media are hot topics in the media. Loud’s task was to fulfil the media need for relevant stories, while promoting greater understanding of 1000heads’ unique and visionary approach. PR activity focused on producing engaging and readable case studies, facilitating one-two-one interviews with key media, building strong links with the major publications, and using comments on topical news items to present 1000heads spokespeople to a wider audience.

The outcome

Loud’s PR activity has delivered extensive coverage for 1000heads in trade publications such as Marketing Week, PR Week, The Marketer, Retail Week and New Media Age, as well as other major media such as The Grocer and the Evening Standard. PR support following the company’s WOMMA award in 2008 led to heightened levels of media interest in the company, which Loud was able to capitalise on for them. Webinars are another important PR tool for 1000heads; a webinar opportunity identified, secured and managed by Loud was ‘attended’ by more than 60 online delegates.

New Earth Solutions

New Earth Solutions is a specialist waste treatment business dedicated to delivering sound technical and environmental solutions to the UK’s waste problems.

The client need

Loud’s remit was to strengthen, maintain and widen the reach of the New Earth Solutions’ brand.

The Loud solution

Loud identified and targeted media beyond the ‘green’ trade press – including the national, financial and investment media, developing close links with key journalists and editors. Loud built a relationship with The National Trust to support the annual Compost Awareness Week, using a mix of celebrity and local school involvement.

The outcome

Loud succeeded in enhancing New Earth’s credentials as a leading, progressive waste treatment solutions innovator, whose views and opinions are sought after. New Earth spokespeople have been quoted in national and international newspapers from The Observer, The Times and Investment News to the International Herald Tribune and the South China Morning Post. At the same time, Loud enhanced New Earth’s reputation as an authoritative presence within the environmental and recycling world.
